Have you ever had so much to do that you didn’t know where to start? That is us this week. Nothing has been added to our already full plate. And we have sun! Finally!! But it seems like our bodies and minds are a bit weary from the last few weeks of pouring rain.
We have had a lot of cleaning up to do. And last night, when I walked outside to gaze up at the stars, the biggest pig I have ever seen was staring back at me. He was scared for a moment. But quickly decided that his job of tearing up the ground was more urgent than running away. I cannot believe, even seeing it with my own eyes, the amount of damage that these wild pigs can cause. Although I certainly respect them for clearing the blackberry bushes away!! And for finding another terrace!

When I asked Nate what he had planned for today, he spun around with his hands in the air and said everything. He said he just start throwing everything and make it better here. Yeah. We are tired. But we have to keep going with our goal in mind for making this house a home. A real home with more comfort.
This week, we have simple plans for getting chainsaw oil. We have a very harsh bout of winter weather coming again. And we need more wood. Which means we have to get groceries again and be able to cut wood for our wood stove. We also need to keep working on our bathroom. We are frustrated by the lack of progress we feel we should be making.
I’ll keep looking to the wild pigs for encouragement and as an example this week. We. Can. Do. It. Snort.
